ASA Avicultural Conference
Dallas, TX - March 24-27, 2010
We are putting together a
great program for our next Avicultural Conference to be held in
Dallas Texas in association with
Dallas World Aquarium. Each year, the ASA Avicultural Conference has been
fun, informational and unique! 2010 promises to continue our
goal to make the ASA Avicultural Conference the must-attend
avicultural event of the year.

Leslie Howle,
Toucan Shelter, Costa Rica - Title:
"Rehabbing Confiscated and Orphaned
Sloths, Toucans, and Other Birds in
Costa Rica"
Leslie Howle grew up in
Costa Rica. Her father was
one of the first property
developers on the Pacific
coast, laying the foundation
for ecotourism in that
country.
Many years later, back in
the United States working as
an Occupational Therapist
and Outdoor Adventure Ropes
course entrepreneur with her
own growing collection of
birds she took off to the
jungles of Peru to study
wild macaws. This lead her
back to her roots in Costa
Rica to pursue her life long
dream of operating a
Wildlife Refuge Center, for
parrots and toucans. She
has been operating her own
Licensed Wildlife Refuge for
the past 7 years.
