ASA Avicultural Conference
Dallas, TX - March 24-27, 2010
We are putting together a
great program for our next Avicultural Conference to be held in
Dallas Texas in association with
Dallas World Aquarium. Each year, the ASA Avicultural Conference has been
fun, informational and unique! 2010 promises to continue our
goal to make the ASA Avicultural Conference the must-attend
avicultural event of the year.

Marcia Cziulik -
Toucan Nesting Behavior in The Wild

Marcia
Cziulik is a biologist, with
master’s degree in zoology and
is currently finishing her PhD
at the Federal University of
Parana on “Parental Care of
toucans and aracaris within
nests”. She is member of CBRAS
(The Brazilian Breeders
Consortium of Wild Birds), and
has experience in management,
reproduction, conservation and
research of wild birds. She
worked as a biologist and
director (1994-2003) of the Bird
Park in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil
and was the bird consultant of
the Bioparque Temaikčn
(2006-2009) in Escobar, Buenos
Aires, Argentina. She did two
international courses the DESMAN
- Endangered Species Management
(Durrell Wildlife Preservation
Trust, 1998) and the Behavioral
Ecology (University of Chile,
2007), and a trainee period at
the Emerald Forest Bird Garden
(1999). She has published in
book chapters, journals, and
texts in newspapers. She also
teaches courses and lectures at
conferences and universities.
